Online Roulette rules and tips
Roulette is a gambling game where the main goal is to guess which of the numbered cells on the rotating wheel will hit the ball launched in a circle. In classic roulette, numbers from 0 to 36 are printed on the wheel. Bets are placed on the gaming table, which also contains numbers from 0 to 36, with additional betting options indicated as well.
There are three main types of roulette:
- American,
- European,
- French.
The main difference among them is associated with the presence/absence of zero on the game wheel. In the American version, there are “zero” and “double zero,” which increases the profit of the casino to 5.3%. European roulette has one “zero,” which brings profit up to 2.7%. French is a kind of European roulette, but the main difference is the presence of a special playing field and the “La Partage” rule.
Players play against the casino (gambling house) that the dealer represents. To take part in the game, you need to have gaming chips or at least credits in your gaming wallet. Of course, some games are available for free, but you need to clarify it with a particular casino.
The maximum (minimum) bet that a player can make is determined by the rules of a particular casino and can even vary for different tables in the same establishment. The minimum bet refers to the minimum amount that a player can place on outside bets. If bets are placed on numbers (Inside Bets), their total amount must not be lower than the minimum bet allowed.
Once you make a bet, the dealer spins the roulette wheel in one direction and throws the ball in the opposite direction. As soon as the ball hits the cell, the dealer announces the winning number. After that, the losing bets are collected, and the winnings are paid out.
